Cits: SkyLines 2 developers want to speed up the release of patches for the game
The sequel of the popular urban planner from the Colossal Order studio was not the best. According to many fans, the game was released too quickly, since its optimization left much to be desired. However, thousands of negative reviews and players about the technical condition of CITIES: Skylines II are not indifferent to developers, so they want to correct this situation as soon as possible.
COLOSSAL ORDER Director General Marina Hallikainen published a message with information about improving the technical condition of the game. The message summarizes the first patch that was released for Cits: Skylines II last week on Steam – now it is also available to players owning the game in Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass.
It includes a change in the level of detail, thanks to which the game now renders less detailed objects, when the camera is at a great distance from them. The message emphasizes that the developers will continue to improve this aspect, as well as related passers -by and their teeth. The problem of meaningless rendering of full models of characters, regardless of the distance to the camera, was marked by fans of products some time ago.
The patch also eliminated other problems that affect optimization (including related to fog), and several errors leading to the flights of the game.
In the near future, another patch will be released, designed to improve the performance of Cits: Skylines II. In addition, they have plans for the future:
- fix the error with the display in the interface of information about admission to college;
- eliminate the problem associated with the abandonment of residents of their dogs;
- Introduction of corrections for garbage and trade.
As noted by the CEO of Colossal Order:
We will have to see how to speed up the process of installing patches so that the players do not have to wait for these important corrections longer than necessary. [. ] Improving performance and error elimination is the most important things at the moment.
The developers, apparently, are very serious about the patches for CITIES: SkyLines II, with the help of which they probably want to satisfy the requests of those who have already acquired the game, as well as attract new players. About when exactly the next update will be released, so far nothing is reported.
